MEMBERSHIP WITH THE OI GROUP

Standard Membership
  1. The Oi Group is an employer support organisation and provides Industrial & Employment Law services to the widest possible scope of companies, organisations and industries across Australia. Membership is of 12 months duration and is automatically provided if a valid A.B.N. and appropriate email address is provided by an applicant on behalf of his or her company.
  2. Notwithstanding clause 1 above, The Oi Group's Senior Partner has final approval on each application for Membership and we reserve the right to reject Membership on the basis of our commercial decision and without further explanation.
  3. If Membership is not approved and you have registered a paid membership a full refund of your monies will be made.
  4. Once approved, all Membership benefits and entitlements begin from the date of receipt of your application & payment, and remain valid for 12 months. Approved paid membership is not refundable under any circumstances; however we will cease delivery of future membership benefits such as emails, training offers etc upon your written request.
  5. We can accept more than one Membership per Single Corporation however discounts are not cumulative.
  6. Single or multiple Memberships are related to a single corporation, identified by A.B.N. and company or trading name. The A.B.N. of any single Membership is not adjustable during the life of membership and benefits are not transferable to other companies.
  7. A members company details will be printed on all specialist support documents that are printed by the Member.
  8. Continuing Members will be provided with an increased discount opportunity rising 10 to 20%, or remaining at 20% provided that payment for your continued membership is made on or before its expiry date.
  9. All prices quoted for membership to The Oi Group are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST.

  1. All Members who pay a once-yearly membership fee receive a free hard copy of our latest version of The Australian Manager's Definitive Guide to Industrial & Employment Law (approx. 279 A4 pgs).
Advice Finder Search Engine
  1. Membership also entitles members to 24 hour access to our Advice Finder Search Engine. This system provides fully searchable access to any question concerning Industrial & Employment Law that is available from our larger online version of The Australian Manager's Definitive Guide to Industrial & Employment Law.
Industrial & Employment Law Support and Discounted Rates
  1. Membership entitles members to both general and comprehensive advice on any component of Workplace, Industrial & Employment Law within our fields of expertise at special discounted prices only applicable to Members. We will endeavour to support all such requests for assistance.
  2. Calls seeking support under this component of the Membership can be made 24 hours per day to our Australia Wide number 1300 737 564.
  3. Provision of advice etc will be documented as per our Costs Schedule and will be invoiced along with a credit offer of either 10 or 20%.
  4. Payment of invoices that are received by our Accounts Department at the address stipulated on the account, within 14 days of the date of our invoice will provide for a credit in the sum nominated on any specific invoice to be placed against the member's account. Credits can be used by the member against furture work or for future membership fees.
  5. It is the Member's responsibility to ensure that account payments are received on or before those 14 days expire. Payment can also be received by Direct Bank Deposit to our Bank Account as stipulated in the body of the statement page issued in the case of each account. Failure to make payment within our 14 day terms will automatically result in the loss of the credit offer.
  6. Undertaking of consultancy work as per your instructions is provided on the basis that you accept that any fair legal costs involved in seeking payment for an unpaid account past 60 days will become part of the outstanding debt.
Members Only Internet Access
  1. Members will receive a special Members ID as well as an exclusive password.
  2. A new Members password will automatically be provided upon renewal of your membership.
  3. Members ID and password should allow for access, dependent upon membership level, to some or all of our Members Only internet pages including any employment forms, documents, contracts, guides and fact sheets that we make available from time to time. In a small number of cases Members may experience difficulty with accessing these items. In such cases we will endeavour to provide limited support of an Information Technology type but overall support issues are the private concern of Members and should be addressed by Member's specific Information Technology support or consultants. A refund of $32.00 (incl. GST) will be made if proof is provided within 30 days of Membership approval that internet access can not be established by that Member.
Free Email Newsletters, Industrial Relations Blog and Archives
  1. Members will receive exclusive notification to our 24/7 Industrial Relations News Blog through approximately 104 email notifications per year. Our Industrial Relations News Blog is developed specifically for Members and contain up to the minute important Industrial Relations & Employment Law decisions and information. The Blog is open to receive comments, questions, and brief responses (to members only) on any article of news that is posted to the Blog page.
Upgraded Membership
  1. Upgraded Membership is available to Standard Members upon application via our Australia wide toll-free number 1300 737 564.
  2. Upgraded Membership provides members with all of the previous benefits of a Standard Membership PLUS the added benefit of receiving absolutely free, written workplace support on any issue of Industrial & Employment Law within our scope of expertise, providing that the Member uses the online inquiry system found on our homepage.
Variations
  1. The Oi Group reserves the right to vary elements of the membership package from time to time.
  2. Our cost schedule is on our website and is available to members at any time.
Breach
  1. By becoming a Member you contract to abide by The Oi Group's terms and conditions and our costs schedule, in the case of seeking Industrial and Employment Law support.
  2. Any breach of our terms and conditions, or costs schedule will permit The Oi Group to cancel or suspend your membership.
Privacy
  1. The Oi Group's privacy policy supports and endorses the State and Federal national privacy regimes. We will only collect personal information from you with your prior knowledge and consent. Once membership is established you can access our web-site home page and browse our site without disclosing further personal information. We will only use personal information provided by you for the purposes for which it was collected. We will not disclose your personal information to a third party. We ensure that your personal information will not be disclosed to other State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.
Liability
  1. The Oi Group does not accept liability for any misuse of advice or information provided by your company, one of your employees, or any third party.
  2. Organisations retain authority as to who in their organisation is entitled to use the benefits of membership, and Membership is provided on the basis that you accept that The Oi Group is not liable for misuse by any person misrepresenting themselves as having authority to use those benefits.
